About this game
Split the room into Red and Blue. A child from each team comes up in turn. They press on the board, pull back and let go, and their penguin flops onto its belly and slides down the ice towards a fish.
While it slides, the class shouts "Sweep!" and the child taps as fast as they can. Each tap makes the penguin slow down a bit less. Too gentle and it stops before the blue line and waddles off. Too hard and it lands head first in the snowbank at the end.
Penguins bump into each other, so a good throw can knock the other team's penguin away from the fish. Tick the snowmen option and two snowmen stand in the way.
When every penguin is out, the team nearest the fish scores a point for each penguin nearer than the other team's best. Their nearest penguin walks over and eats the fish.
