About this game

The class has $20 and a farm stall. Carrots cost $1 to make and sell for $2, eggs cost $2 and sell for $4, and pies cost $3 and sell for $7. Each morning a forecast card shows the weather, and sometimes a village fair or road works. The class decides how many of each to make, and the money left goes down as you press.

Then the stall opens. Farm animals walk up one at a time and buy one thing each. Coins go into the till, and anyone who wants something that has sold out leaves with nothing. Hot days bring fewer pie buyers, and rain keeps people away. The forecast is right about four days in five.

At the end of the day the sums are written out: what was spent, what was taken, and what went in the bin. Carrots and pies don't keep. Eggs keep for one more day. After Friday a bar graph shows the till each day next to the best week possible if you had known the weather.
